Keep up the hard work!

Doesn't he look so serious?! Kim said I should photoshop the scriptures in the picture. ha ha ha

After he realized I had taken a picture of him. Silly boy!

Temple Lights!

On Saturday we went to the Mesa Temple Lights display. It is a great family activity (especially if your kids love Christmas lights like Grant does). You should really go, if you have never been before (or even if you have). :) They have thousands of lights in all the trees and bushes and have a really pretty nativity scene set up (along with a couple of other scenes from the bible). They also have musical performances that are awesome to watch. It really makes you think about our Savior and all He has done for us. All are welcome, no matter what denomination! Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Here is a link if you want to find out the performance times and other info. http://www.christmastemplelights.com/

This picture didn't show up very well... some trees with lights in them (looks cooler in person).

Family Visit

Usually my mom's side of the family gets together for Christmas, but most of them moved to Colorado and the rest are going up there to visit the others, so we won't be able to see any of them this year. :( We decided to visit with whoever could make it this past weekend.

Uncle Dale, (cousin) Kirt, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Clair, (cousin) Michelle

Grandpa, sad Grant, and studly Chris :)

My nieces Kamryn and Kiley with Grant

The grandchildren running up to Grandma Toni (my mom) :)

Zoo trip!

Last weekend Melanie and I took the kids to the zoo. The weather was perfect and the little boys had lots of fun. Most of the animals were eating, so they weren't right up at the front, but the ones we did get to see were fun.

Grant and James very interested in the animals. :)

Very cute!

Melanie and a very happy James.

Trying to keep him entertained.....

Sometimes I feel like there's not enough to do to actually keep Grant's attention and yet other times all he needs is a ball and he could go for hours. :)

....when I don't do my job he finds other ways to stay busy....
(He was really quiet one day, so I checked on him in his room and found this) ha ha

Jumping on the bed while Mommy's trying to make it... which results in pillow fights. :)

Coloring on the porch
Walking around the mall and getting ice cream for being such a good boy!

Playing at the mall playland... which makes Mom cringe at the thought of how disgusting it is. :) Thank goodness for Purel!

Calling all Twilighters!

Well, everyone knows that Twilight, the movie, premieres tonight.... and if you don't, what rock have you been living under? :) I am so excited to see it! Unfortunately (and fortunately) Chris has work in the morning, so we aren't going tonight. :( It's okay, I will just walk around tomorrow with my ears plugged. ha ha
Well, the point of this post is to get everyone even more excited and to beg for no spoilers. :) Thanks!

Taylor's visit

My brother-in-law, Michael just proposed a couple of weeks ago. He had a really awesome proposal and lucky for him, she said "yes!". :) She came to visit Halloween weekend and we had so much fun gettting to know her! She is amazing! We are so excited to have her in the family!

- Halloween -

Well, here are our costumes. They weren't that creative, but they were free and pretty fun! :) Grant was Steve Nash, Chris was a ref, and I was the basketball. ha ha

We did face painting at Scotty and Nicole's Fall Festival and Grant was not excited about it. For some reason he was freaking out when I was trying to paint on his cheek. When he was done, he jumped down and ran to Chris (I think to tattle on me).

This is a cute picture of Grant and my sister, Christina. :)

Oreo goodness....

Grant loves oreos almost as much as his daddy does! He doesn't get them often, which makes them a real (messy) treat! :)

Crazy kid!

I decided to keep it short and only post a few of the funny pictures I've gotten of him recently. :)

I was making dinner and Grant was eating a snack... when I looked over at him he had his arm in this position. He looked so bored, it was hilarious! Of course he started to laugh when I did. :)

Almost every night Grant and Chris play this "game". Grant climbs on his back, Chris makes a hydraulic robot kind of noise and raises up, and Grant tries to keep his balance. He is actually really good at it! ha ha

He was being really quiet one day, so I went in to check on him and found him sitting on his chair with every ball he has. :) He even had some behind his back.

Time flies when you're having fun!

Grant turned 18 months on the 14th of Oct.! It's really crazy how quickly time goes by! Everybody told me it would, but you don't fully understand until you experience it as a parent. :)

Would you look at that... Grant actually looks a little like his mama! :)

Such a cheesy smile. I love it!

Getting ready to go to church on his first day of nursery! *sniff*

Hey everyone! I just wanted to thank those who came to my Premiere Party and hope that you had fun. I also wanted to let anyone else, who might be interested, know that I will have the show open until tomorrow....maybe Tuesday. So, if you want a catalogue you can call me and I'll bring one by or you can look on pamperedchef.com. I also still need more hosts...anybody? :) Oh, and I have lots of pictures of us to post, but when I sat down to do it the other day the computer totally froze...then died. :( They're coming soon, I promise!

Here is the Black Forest Triffle we made at the party... it was too good! :)

You're invited...yes you!

If you can read it, you're invited! I was going to try to send out invites in the mail, but didn't have time. I figured emails and a post would be my best bet. :) I hope you can make it, it will be a lot of fun!

* FYI- If you host a show in November you get 60% off stoneware!!! That's huge!

Say hello to the newest Pampered Chef Consultant!

Well, maybe not the newest, but definitely new. :) So, as everybody knows, times are hard right now. Chris and I have been talking a lot lately about how I can contribute, financially, to our family (sound familiar anyone?). We first came up with the babytique idea... I love making all the gifts for my friends, I just haven't had any "customers" yet. :) Then we thought of doing a home based business type of thing. We kept going back to The Pampered Chef because I really like the products, they have great recipes (good for someone who feels like they cook the same thing over and over *me*) and all the parties I've been to were a lot of fun. I just wanted to be involved in something that I would enjoy. So, I took the plunge and joined! I am a little nervous about it, but think it could be a great thing for us. I am going to have my Premier Party in November (I'll be sending out invites soon). I posted the specials for November to the right... they are really good, by the way! If anybody is interested in helping me out with shows let me know! :)

23 weeks!

I am so sorry I haven't posted in forever! We just moved into our new apartment, so it's been a little crazy. Well, here I am 4 weeks later... almost 5! It's gone way too fast, I just can't believe it! :)

"As I Search the Holy Scriptures..."

This was so cute, I just had to take a picture.

OCD?

Grant is so particular when he does some things, that Chris and I joke about him being a OCD. (Maybe we're a little serious sometimes) :) Example 1: If he's walking with his cup (or other object) and puts it on the ground and it falls, he turns around and sets it upright before he continues what he was doing. Example 2: He has a little basketball hoop in his bathtub that he loves to play with. Well, while taking the ball out after making a basket the net sometimes comes all the way out and the rim slants, so he tucks the net back in and makes the rim perfectly straight before he shoots again.

I just thought this one was funny. :)

:) This is his all time favorite obsession... after I take him out of his chair, before he can do anything else, he has to buckle the little belt on the chair. One day we were going to walk Chris out to his car before work, so I took Grant out of his seat and said, "Hurry, lets go walk Daddy outside!" He started to follow me then stopped, looked at me, then the chair, then ran back to the chair and did his thing. ha ha ha It was so funny!

After snapping the chair he pushes it back in and doesn't stop until it is lined up just right.
