Happy (late) Memorial Day!
For Memorial Day we went to Scotty and Nicole's for a barbecue. We ate lots of yummy food and had lots of good company!

Benson Family Night
On Sunday night all the Bensons (Chris's mom's side) got together for a big family night. It was the perfect time to visit because not only were Brianne and Sarah in town, but it was also in memory of Grandma Benson's passing 2 years earlier.
The family often tells stories of her devotion and love to her Savior and family, especially her husband. They talk of her endless service and love to all those around her. They also have many funny stories of things she did and said. :) I am so grateful for these stories! They have made me feel so much closer to her.
Although I didn't know her that well, I could tell that she was an amazing, strong and beautiful woman. She was so sweet and always looking to serve others. The night she passed away she was talking to me and asked how I was doing, if I was stressed out with the wedding plans, and if I needed anything. It made cry because even though she was going through so much, she was worried about something as insignificant as our details for the wedding. As Chris and I said our goodbyes, she took us by the hand and said, "You guys make a great team, I can just tell". That statement has stuck with us and when things are tough we tell each other that.

Happy Birthday Mom!
My mom just celebrated her 45th birthday! We took her to Streets of New York, which was so so good! Chris had a great idea of what to get her-a Rubik's Cube and lessons (from him) because she has always wanted to learn. She was so excited! We hope you had a good time, we sure did! We love you so much!

fun in the sun
On Tuesday Melissa, Anjuli, the kids and I all went to Tiffany's new apartment in Peoria. We had a great lunch and then we all went swimming...wait, don't they tell us not to swim on a full stomach? Oh well! :) We all had a great time. Grant even let Anjuli hold him and play with him in the pool- I have pictures to prove it! ha ha ha
Thanks Tiff, for inviting us over! We can't wait to come again. P.S. Your place is really cute! :)

New Bows!
Well, I think I found a new hobby, I love making bows! ha ha ha I just made these for a friend who has the cutest 2 month old. The bows looked adorable on her!

This one is a little harder to see because of the background. It has pink ribbon with black ribbon and black marabou behind it. The elastic is the same as the one above. I also glued a rhinestone in the middle.

Grandmas always know what do!
All day yesterday Grant was really whiney and tired, and I think it probably had to do with his stomach issues. We kept trying to do things that would make him happy. His ball and a brownie just weren't cutting it. Kim then had a great idea to let him splash around in the kitchen sink (he loves splashing). He had so much fun!

This was after he dipped his head in.
It looks like that's all he needed!
Beware of the Brazilian Beans!
On Saturday night we went to a going away party for Chris' singles ward bishop and his wife. Because they will be mission presidents in Brazil we had all Brazilian food, which was good, but boy did I regret it later. :) The beans were pretty much the only thing Grant wanted to eat, so I let him shovel them in. Why didn't anybody warn me that Brazilian beans can cause some explosive... well, you know?
Sunday morning during Sacrament Meeting Chris took Grant out to change his diaper. A little while later he brought me this...
a bundle of his very nasty clothes.
I guess that Chris had to pretty much give him a bath in the boy's bathroom. :) Sorry babe! That's why I love you! ha ha ha
He is a little better, but not fully over it. Hopefully soon! :)

Scrub-a-Dub
We're the worst when it comes to washing our cars. We just never have the time to do it ourselves, and Chris hates paying when we could do a much better job for free. :) Anyway... we were actually home Saturday morning and decided it was time (I wish I had a "Before" and "After" picture). :) We had a great time and our car is clean!
Here's Grant in his cute little smim suit
What is this???
The other day I was at my family's and Grant was upstairs "playing" with his Aunt Maddie.... this morning I found these pictures on my camera. :) So, Mad, would you like to explain what you're doing to my poor boy? ha ha ha
